Faith to receive in Jesus' Name
Protection, like healing, salvation, wisdom
and all of the other inheritances from God all require faith. But, waiting
until you're in trouble, is a bad time to start building your faith. All
of these inheritances work more smoothly when you take the time to stay
in His Word, and build your strength and confidence over a long period
of time. Confidence and experience that have developed over a long period
of time are the things that make Christians invincible. Does that mean
that babes in Christ never win, because they don't have experience? Not
at all, when you've been a Christian as long as I have, you KNOW that God
does some incredible things with the simple honest prayers of baby Christians.
If you doubt God's ability to protect you, or help you, Start by reading
all of Hebrews 11. God delivered those people from far worse situations
then have happened to you. Say the following verses so you can hear them,
and feed your spirit and mind with faith filled Words. Make these verses
personal, because God did give them to you to use as often as you need
them. Which is every day!
You also need to know that there are rules
for walking in faith. You have to live a Godly life. You need to understand
that God is on your side, and the Devil is your real enemy.
| John 10: |
| 10. | The thief (Satan) comes only in order that he may steal and may
kill and may destroy. I (Jesus) came that they (you) may have
and enjoy life, and have it in abundance - to the full, till it overflows. |
| 11. | I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd risks and lays down his
(own) life for the sheep (you).
|
God has given us protection, and deliverance from
anything the devil will try, but this protection does require that we operate
in love. That we take God at his word, that He is true and faithfull to
do what He says.
| John 14:21, |
| 21. | The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who (really)
loves Me, and whoever (really) loves Me will be loved by My Father. And I (too) will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself
to him - I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him. (in all
things even: protection, health, etc.)
|
| Hebrews 13:1-6, |
| 5. | Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money
and be satisfied with your present (circumstances); for He (God) Himself
has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. (I
will) not, (I will) not, (I will) not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let (you)
down, - Assuredly not! |
| 6. | So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly
say, The Lord is my Helper, I will not be sized with alarm - I will
not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me?
|
| Romans 8: 10-18, 31, 37, |
| 11. | And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells
in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the
dead will also restore to life your mortal bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you. |
| 14. | For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. |
| 15. | For (the Spirit which) you have now received (is) not a spirit
of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have
received the Spirit of adoption in which we cry,; Abba! (That is, )Father! |
| 31. | What then shall we say to (all) this? If God be for us, who (can
be) against us? - Who can be our foe, if God is on our side? |
| 37. | Yet amid all these things we are more than conquers and gain a
surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
|
| Isaiah 54: |
| 17. | But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every
tongue that shall rise against you in judgement you shall show to be in the wrong. This (peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition) is
the heritage of the servants of the Lord (those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced). This is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me
- this is that which I impart to them as their justification - says the Lord.
|
| Proverbs 18: |
| 21. | Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge
it shall eat the fruit of it. ( Learn to control your tongue, let only good positive words come out of your mouth)
|
| James 1: |
| 5. | If any of you is deficient (lacks) in wisdom, let him ask of the
giving God (who gives) to every one liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching
or fault finding, and it will be given him. (if you need wisdom about anything just
ask God) |
| 13. | Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God
is incapable of being tempted by (what is) evil and He Himself
tempts no one. |
| 14. | But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and
baited by his own evil desires. |
| 15. | Then the evil desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin,
and sin when it is fully mature brings forth death.
|
| 1 John 4: |
| 17. | In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion
and attains perfection with us, that we may have
confidence for the day of judgment - with assurance and boldness to face Him - because as
He is (today), so are we in this world. |
| 18. | There is no fear (of anything) in love - dread does not exist;
but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns out of doors and
expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and (so)
he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love - is not yet grown into love's
complete perfection.
|
| Ephesians 6: all, ( the armour of God) |
| 1. | Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is just and right. |
| 2. | Honor your father and your mother; this is the first commandment
with a promise: |
| 3. | (This is the promise) That all may be well with you and that you
may live long on the earth. |
| 4. | Fathers, do not irritate and provoke you children to anger but rear
them (tenderly) in the training and admonition of the Lord. |
| 5. | Servants (slaves), be obedient to those who are your physical masters,
having respect for them and eager concern to them, in singleness of
motive and with all your heart, as to Christ (himself). |
| 6. | Not in the way of eye service and only to please men; but as servants
of Christ, doing the will of God heartily and with your whole soul; |
| 7. | Render service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and to men, |
| 8. | Knowing that for whatever good any one does, he will receive his
reward from the Lord, whether he is slave or free. |
| 9. | You masters, act on the same (principle) toward them, and give up
threatenings and using violent and abusive words, knowing that He
(Jesus) Who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no respect
of persons with Him. |
| 10. | In conclusion, be strong in the Lord - be empowered through your
union with Him (Jesus); draw strength which His (boundless)
might provides. |
| 11. | Put on God's whole armor- the armor of a heavy-armed soldiers,
which God supplies - that you may be able successfully to
stand up against (all) the strategies and deceits of the devil. |
| 12. | For we are wrestling not with flesh and blood - contending only with
physical opponents - but against the despotisms, against the powers, against (the master spirits who are) the world rulers of this present darkness,
against the spirit forces of wickness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. (This is truely
a spiritual war, not a physical war) |
| 13. | Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to
resist and stand your ground on the evil day (of danger), and having done all (the crisis demands), to stand (firmly in your place). (When you have
done all you can do to stand your ground in this spiritual war, then stand, and trust
God.) |
| 14. | Stand therefore - hold your ground - having tightened the belt
of truth around your loins, and having put on the breastplate of
integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God; |
| 15. | And having shod your feet in preparation (to face the enemy with
the firm-footed stability, the promptness and the readiness produced
by the good news) of the Gospel of peace. |
| 16. | Lift up over all the shield of saving faith, upon which you can
quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked one (Satan). |
| 17. | And take the helmet of salvation and the sword the Spirit wields,
which is the Word of God. |
| 18. | Pray at all times - on every occasion, in every season - in the
Spirit, with all (manner of) prayer and entreaty. To that end keep
alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf
of all the saints (God's consecrated people).
|
| 2 Timothy 1: |
| 7. | For God did not give us a spirit of timidity - cowardice, of craven
and cringing and fawning fear - but (He has given us a spirit) of
power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
|
| 1 John 4: |
| 17. | In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion
and attains perfection with us, that we may have
confidence for the day of judgment - with assurance and boldness to face Him -
because as He is (today), so are we in this world. |
| 18. | There is no fear (of anything) in love - dread does not exist;
but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns out of doors and
expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and (so)
he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love - is not yet grown into love's
complete perfection.
|
You also need to understand that God loves you, and
He has died for your salvation, and to give you a whole list of promises
and benefits. All you have to do is believe that God really has done this
for you and receive them.
| Psalm 23: |
| 1. | The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack. |
| 2. | He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still
and restful waters. |
| 3. | He refreshes and restores my life; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. |
| 4. | Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear or dread no evil; for You are with me; Your rod(to protect)
and Your staff(to guide), they comfort me. |
| 5. | You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You
anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. |
| 6. | Surely or only goodness, mercy and unfailing love shall follow me
all the days of my life; and through the length of days the house of the
Lord shall be my dwelling place.
|
| John 14: 21, |
| 21. | The person who has My commands and keeps them is
the one who (really) loves Me, and whoever (really) loves Me will be loved
by My Father. And I (too) will love him and will show (reveal, manifest)
Myself to him - I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself
real to him. (in all things even: protection, health, etc.)
|
| Romans 8: |
| 14. | for all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. |
| 15. | For (the Spirit which) you have now received (is) not the spirit
of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you
have received the Spirit of adoption in which we cry, Abba! (That is) Father! |
| 16. | The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are
children of God. |
| 17. | And if we are (His) children, then we are (His) heirs also: heirs
of God and fellow heirs with Christ - sharing His inheritance with Him; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. |
| 18. | (But what of that?) For I consider that the sufferings of this
present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the
glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us, and conferred on us! |
| 31. | What then shall we say to (all) this? (These things that have come
against us) If God be for us, who (can be) against us? - Who
can be our foe, if God is on our side? |
| 37. | Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain
a surpassing victory through him who loved us.
|
| Isaiah 54:17, |
| 17. | But no weapon formed against you (me) shall prosper,
and every tongue that shall rise against you (me) in judgement you (I)
shall show to be in the wrong. This (peace, righteousness, security, triumph
over opposition) is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. This is the
righteousness or vindication which they obtain from me - this is that which
I impart to them as their justification - says the Lord.
|
| Proverbs 18:21, |
| 21. | Death and Life are in the power of the tongue,
and they who indulge it shall eat the fruit of it (for death or life).
|
You can fill your mouth with negative words, full
of I can't do this or that, or you can say the words that God said about
you. Words full of life and victory!
| Mark 11: |
| 22. | And Jesus replying said to them, Have faith in God (constantly). |
| 23. | Truly, I tell you, whoever says to this mountain (a real mountain
or a mountain of a problem), Be lifted up and thrown into
the sea! And does not doubt at all in his heart, but believes that what he says will
take place, it will be done for him. |
| 24. | For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer,
believe - trust and be confident - that it is granted to you, and you will (get it).
|
| John 14: |
| 12. | I (Jesus) assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if any one steadfastly
believes in Me (Jesus), he will himself be able
to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I (Jesus)
go to the Father. (You have the power of Jesus in you, because the Father, Son, and Holy
Ghost live in you.) |
| 13. | And I will do - I Myself will grant - whatever you may ask in My
(Jesus) name so that the Father may be glorified and extolled
in (through) the Son. |
| 14. | (Yes) I will grant - will do for you - whatever you shall ask in
My name (Jesus). |
| 15. | If you (really) love Me you will keep (obey) My commands (to love). |
| 16. | And I (Jesus) will ask the Father, and He will give you another
Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener
and Standby, called the Holy Spirit) that He may remain with you forever,
|
| Hebrews 11: |
| 1. | Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title-deed) of
the things (we) hope for, being the proof of the things (we) do not see and
the conviction of their reality - faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to
the senses. |
| 2. | For by (faith), and trust and holy fervor born of faith, the men
of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. |
| 3. | By faith we understand that the worlds (during the successive ages)
were framed - fashioned, put in order and equipped for their intended
purpose - by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which
are visible. |
| 4. | (Prompted, actuated) by faith Abel brought God a better and more
acceptable sacrifice than Cain, because of which it was testified of
him that he was righteous - (that is,) that he was upright and in right standing with God - and
God bore witness by accepting and acknowledging his gift. And though he died, yet
through (the incident) he is still speaking. |
| 5. | Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven,
so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because
God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven he received testimony
(still on record) that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. |
| 6. | But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory
to Him (God). For whoever would come near to God must (necessarily) believe
that God exists and that He is the Rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek
( You really do need to go ahead and read all of Hebrews chapter 11).
