Apple Sauce Kids

Preschool Memory Verse activities

1.      Catch the Memory Verse Game: Having all students sit in a circle, using a child's play ball, have the children pass the ball clockwise to the next child. As each child passes the ball they say one word of the memory verse. Continue passing the ball until the children have memorized the verse. Another version would be to roll the ball across the circle to another child.

2.     Get loads of balloons and write each word of the verse on each one then go through it a few times starting to pop some of the balloons.

3.     Have the kids sit in a circle take whatever memory verse you are using that day, lean to the first kid and whisper the memory verse in their ear have them pass it on until you get to the last child. Since it is a new verse it usually gets messed up by the last kid, have him or her say it out loud. This is a wonderful example of how God's word can become twisted and mangled until there is almost nothing left of what he is trying to teach.
