Deadly Disobedience, Text lesson

Deadly Disobedience
Everyone needs to be obedient to someone. Kids need to listen to their parents. Adults need to listen to their bosses and even bosses need to lisrten to their stock holders. Everyone needs to listen to Christ. They may not explain things very well. But they are only trying to help you! The knowledge that Older people have is more mature and experienced then young people. You see, old people really have "been there, done that, and seen it". The old people who tell you that this person is bad or that person is bad. Really have met people like that before, and remember what they did. It's tough being young, you need all of the good help you can get. Christ is a great source to wisdow. He really does love you.

1. Proverbs 4: ALL, (The wisdom taught by parents and God is good to know.)
19.The way of the wicked is as deep darkness; they do not know at what they stumble. [John 12:35].
20.My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.
21.Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.
22.For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.
23.Keep your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

2. Ephesians 6: 1 - 3,
1.Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is just and right.
2.Honor your father and your mother; this is the first commandment with a promise:
3.(This is the promise) That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.

3. Proverbs 12: 1 - 5,
1.Whoever loves instruction and correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof (corection) is like a brute beast, stupid and indiscriminating.
2.A good man obtains favor of the Lord, but a man of wicked devises He condemns.
3.A man shall not be established by wickness, but the root of the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall never be moved (by God's Word).
4.A virtuous and worthy wife - earnest and strong in character - is a crowning joy to her husband, but she who makes ashamed is a rottenness in his bones. [Prov. 31: 23; 1 Cor. 11: 7.]
5.The thoughts and purposes of the [consistently] righteous are honest and reliable, but the counsels and designs of the wicked are treacherous.

4. Psalm 1:
1.Blessed is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
2.But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law - the precepts, instructions, the teachings of God - he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. [2 Tim. 3: 16; Gal. 3: 1 - 29; Rom. 13: 8 - 10.]
3.And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth his fruit in its season; his leaf also shall not fade or wither, and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity. [Jer. 17: 7, 8.]
4.Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.
5.Therefore the wicked, those disobedient [and living without God], shall not stand [justified] in the judgment; nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God].
6.For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God's will] shall perish.

(Your saved parent can give you Godly council to help you.)
5. Romans 6: 11 - 16,
16. Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servant to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? (also Ezekiel 3: all)

6. 2 Corinthians 6: 14,
14.Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath lights with darkness?

7. James 1:
5. If any of you is deficient (lacks) in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God (who gives) to every one liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault finding, and it will be given him. (if you need wisdom about anything just ask God)
13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God is incapable of being tempted by (what is) evil and He Himself tempts no one.
14. But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desires.
15. Then the evil desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully mature brings forth death.

8. Hebrews 12: 27 - 29,
To be an over coming winner, you need to put yourself in a position where you continually receive Godly wisdom. If you are tied to unbelievers through sin, contracts or marriage or any other reason you will find that you are constantly pressured to do ungodly things. Use your Godly wisdom now, before you become bound! While you have a choice. Take Gods path!

9. Proverbs 27:
12. The prudent see danger (evil) and take refuge (or hides himself from it), but the simple (foolish man) keep going and are punished (with suffering).

10. Psalm 37:
18.The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19.They shall not be ashamed (disappointed) in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20.But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall (be) consume(d) away.
21.The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth.
22.For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23.The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24.Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord up holdeth him with his hand.
25.I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteousness forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.(because they know who they are.)
