Righteousness, right standing with God

Righteousness: An inheritance from God that starts at Calvary and ends in your mind when you become aware of who you are in Christ.

Righteousness is right standing with God. But, you only have Righteousness when you keep God's commandments. God's commandments are very clear, you must operate in His Spirit filled Loves, Agape & Agapao. We have seen that sin is the opposite of God's will and Spirit filled love is God's will.

1 John 5: 17 - 18
17. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

We also see that you make the decision to operate in sin or righteousness. It's all up to you. You're the one that decides where you operate.

Psalm 23:
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack.
2. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
3. He refreshes and restores my life; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
4. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil; for You are with me; Your rod(to protect) and Your staff(to guide), they comfort me.
5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6. Surely or only goodness, mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life; and through the length of days the house of the Lord shall be my dwelling place.

Notice that "he leads us in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." God has a vested interest in your well being. Notice that all of the things He will do for you, he considers to be for His benefit. God wants you to show the world the benefits of being a believer in the living God.
(1 Tim 4:12-16)

Isaiah 54: 10 - 17
17. No weapon that is formed against thee (you) shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee (you) in judgment thou (you) shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

The inheritance that is available to you from God includes such free gifts as authority, and righteousness. The use of these gifts depends on you knowing who you are in Christ and why Jesus bought them for you.

Isaiah 55:
1. Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the water, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (not bad)
3. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure (confirmed) mercies of David.

The Living Soul is the result of you receiving the salvation that was bought for you at calvary, but salvation was only a part of what happened that day.

A. The likeness of God

Genesis 1:
26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Man before the fall, had authority)

Genesis 2:
7. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Here we see the recipe for making men and women that act like God wants them to act.
The dust of the ground + breathe of life + likeness of God = living soul

A dead soul is made in the likeness of its father Satan. A living soul is made in the likeness and image of the family of God and even carries the family name "Jesus" (Eph.3:15). Likeness is defined as: Inherited parental traits, exact duplication by inheritance.
The Law of Genesis (sometimes called the Law of Seed, Plant, Harvest) says that all things reproduce after it's own kind or likeness. Each type of being or creature can only reproduce after it's own kind. No one kind or likeness can become any other kind or likeness. When God made man and woman in his own kind and likeness, he didn't make a mistake. He meant us (not Satan) to be, the rulers, the subduers of earth. He made us of God stuff, not dog stuff or monkey stuff, but of God stuff. We inherited the traits and characteristics (His personality, His Agape) when we made Jesus the Lord of our lives. Now, if our Father is the Devil, we inherit his traits and characteristics. In the same way we inherit traits and characteristics from our earthly parents, we also receive traits from our spiritual parents.

James 1: (The entire section is good, verses 17-27)
18. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth (made of God stuff) that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

James 3:
13. Who is a wise man and endued (equipped) with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation (not out of pride) his works with meekness of wisdom.
14. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15. This wisdom (trait) descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion (disorder) and every evil work.
17. But the wisdom (trait) that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits (of the Spirit), without partiality, and without hypocristy.
18. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Some people seem to live their lives with two Fathers, never really deciding which one they will love and obey.

St.Matthew 6:
32. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye (you) have need of all these things. (worldly things)
33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.(He really has recreated you in his likeness)

St.John 14:
23. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

You're not that old filthy sinner, you once were before you got saved. The old you passed away, and now there is a new recreated you with a new God indwelling personality that Loves not sins. You see, that desire to sin is not coming out of you from your father, Satan any longer, but a new set of desires and traits are now active in you that come from your new heavenly Father, and they will manifest themselves through you if you yield to them.

St. John 14:
10. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (It takes God filled words to produc God filled action.)
11. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me or else believe me for the very works' sake.(That same heavenly Father that dwelleth in Jesus is the same Father that dwelleth in me and you, if you are saved, and anything he would do through a yielded Jesus he is willing and able to do through a yielded me. He is no respecter of persons.)
12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.(St.Mark 16:14-18)
13. And whatsoever ye (you) shall ask in my (and our family) name (Jesus), that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Ephesians 4:
10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
11. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12. For the perfecting (equipping) of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying (building up, not knocking down) of the body of Christ.
13. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect (mature) man, (reaching) unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Boy have some of our religious leaders missed this one. They not only don't operate in the same power and authority that Jesus did. They don't even operate in his kind of Love. Why? Because they don't let the fullness of the God that dwells in them out! They restrict God to the man made restrictions of their doctrines. Locking God in a box that says God can do this but not that. Can you imagine Moses telling God that he couldn't part the Red Sea because they just didn't do that kind of thing in their church. I mean someone might get a swelled head. (They could have all been dead if he didn't)

Galatians 3:
1. O Foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? (They knew the fullness of what God could do and they turned back from operating in the Spirit.)
2. This only would I learn of you, Receive ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3. Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect (complete) by the flesh?
4. Have ye suffered so many things in vain?(when you could have taken authority over them.)
5. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you (whoever he is), doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Note that 1Cor.13:10 says that miracles will continue until "when that which is perfect is come." Well that which is perfect is "Jesus." We have a mandate to carry on the ministry of Jesus until then by letting him live through us, heal the sick and set the captives free. No one, but the devil, said to stop. It's your heritage to be Christ like, and it's an easy heritage to keep because all you have to do is yield to God, use his word in Jesus' name, and God is true and faithful to perform it.

1 Corinthians 15:
34. Awake to righteousness (your right standing with God), and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Awakening to righteousness is the key too not sinning. It's knowing who you are in Christ, and not being willing to give that up. The devil knows it's the key also, and used it against Adam and Eve. (Ref: Gen. 3:1-7 and Gen. 1:26-31)

B. Life in the family of God.

Romans 5:
16. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. (Judgment is the opposite of justification and condemnation is the opposite of righteousness consciousness.)
17. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. (Righteousness is a gift of God that has to be received, just like you receive health and healing and salvation. You use the same simple faith to receive any of the gifts of God.)
18. Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

C. Stopping the attack

God didn't tempt Adam or Job or anyone else. Satan did. God is not your problem. God is the answer to your problem, don't run from God with your sins and problems, run to him.

Genesis 3:
4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (Notice the temptation to be like God. They forgot they were made in his likeness.)
6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (She's standing in a garden as big as four countries), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (so was everything else), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (They were the rulers and the subduers of Earth with a mandate from God to be his likeness), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her: and he did eat. (Notice Adam was standing there the whole time and didn't take authority either. The temptation was planted in their lust and it became sin.)

James 1:
12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried (and wins), he shall receive the (victors) crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (If you love him, you will keep his commandments)
13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: (It took Job 9 months to realize that God was not the one that is giving and then taking away. God is the giver and the devil came to kill steal and destroy.)
14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away (1) of his own lust, and (2) enticed.; (Lust is the driving force or pressure that starts with Satan in the mental realm when the mind is not renewed by the word.)
15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (St.John 10:10)

In Luke 4: we see the second Adam doing exactly what the first Adam should have done. He used the word and took authority over the Devil. Jesus our perfect example, demonstrating the authority he bought for his believers, restoring us to the same position of authority Adam had before his fall.

St. Luke : 4
1. And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2. Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5. And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me (by the first Adam); and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10. For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11. and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12. And Jesus answering said unto him, it is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. (Jesus resisted the devil and he fled, James 4:7)

Finally someone was taking the authority that God had given Adam and was using it, subduing the earth, and the king of this world (the devil). (St. Mark 16: 14-18)

St.Luke 4:
36. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

They had the Word. They just never used it. They didn't worship that way in their church. They didn't think it was right. They never realized that the God inspired word is the source of a Christian's power, and the name of Jesus is the source of his authority.

D. God never taught that His Word was void of Power

Psalm 33:
6. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

James 1: (people make the word ineffective by using it incorrectly)
2. Consider it wholly joyful, my bretheren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort, or fall into various temptations.
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith (profession) worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work (full time), that ye may be perfect (complete) and entire (mature) wanting (lacking) nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering (don't change your confession). For he that wavereth (gives into the devils pressure) is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7. For let not that (unsure) man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
8. A double-minded(unsure) man is unstable in all his ways.

When you use the Word, Satan will come immediately and try to steal it away, but don't give in( St. Mark 4:13-26). If you believe God's Word and all that he did on the cross then you should practice it. The Word works, not because Jesus was using it, but because it was used. It will work for any member of the family of God that will use it. God desires only good things for you, but not all have received or accepted everything he has bought for them. They have shut God out of their lives in some of the most crucial areas like healing, wisdom, salvation, prosperity, victory, and many other areas that have been bought and payed for.

(Read this next section out loud so you can hear yourself say the words.)

Psalm 33.
1. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
2. Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
4. For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Psalm 34:
6. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. (Thank you Lord for delivering me.)
8. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9. O fear (revere) the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear (revere) him.
10. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
11. Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear (reverence)of the Lord.
12. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17. The righteousness cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their trouble.
18. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19. Many are the (devil induced) afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.(Thank you Lord)
20. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21. Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22. The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Psalm 35:
1. Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
2. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
3. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
4. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
27. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
28. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

Psalm 37:
18.The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19.They shall not be ashamed (disappointed) in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20.But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall (be) consume(d) away.
21.The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth.
22. or such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord up holdeth him with his hand.
25. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteousness forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.(because they know who they are.)

Isaiah 53:
4. Surely he hath(already) born our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:
24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose strips ye were healed.

Isaiah 55:
11. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

You see, the price has already been paid. There is nothing else for God to do. It's now up to you to receive the fullness of what God did on the cross.
Glory to God, Father I pray that you would forgive me of a strong self will and the hardness of my heart. Forgive me of all of my sins. I pray that you would come into my heart and abide there forever, leading and guiding me in the thing I should do. I receive now the fullness of your redemptive act in all it's parts bodily, spiritually, and mentally. I receive a complete and total healing in my life in Jesus' name. And Father, I now receive your baptism of citizenship that the fullness of your in ward presence would be out wardly shown in Jesus' holy name.

What do I mean by the baptism of citizenship? St.John 14:9-14 says the fullness of the God head dwells in me. Jude 14-25 says God is able to keep me from falling with exceeding joy by praying in the Holy Ghost, and 1 Corinthians 14:1-4 says that he that speaketh in a unknown tongue speaks not to man but to God and builds himself up doing it. He speaks unto God in God's native language talking to our heavenly father in our native tongue in heaven places where I'm a citizen in particular a joint heir with Jesus now and forever more. In other words, I receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The out ward sign of an inward citizenship, and because of that citizenship I can talk to God in heavenly tongues and not earthly.
